dr. nutta also serves as a consultant to teachers, administrators, and other members of the k–12 english learner community. in this capacity, she has been involved in programs designed to improve the academic preparation of els, teacher education for els, college and career pathways for els, and developing innovative instructional strategies for the needs of els. dr. nutta has been awarded a research grant from the national institute on disability, independent living, and rehabilitation research.
