Zearalenone is one of the most famous mycotoxins, which is one kind of estrogenic mycotoxin, could cause harmful effects on human health and livestock growth. Thus, the development of effective sample pretreatment methods to remove it from complex matrices is significant. In this paper, we report a new and effective nano-surface-anchored solid-phase extraction (nanoSPE) method for the determination of zearalenone in complex matrices. The as-synthesized Fe(III)-Zn(II) quasi-meso-carbons spheres (FZQMs) with uniform and spherical shape were used as adsorbents and the as-synthesized Fe(III)-Zn(II) carbon nanospheres (FZCNS) with a hierarchical meso-structure were employed as reference materials to compare the performances. The as-synthesized FZQMs are characterized by XRD, TEM, N2 adsorption-desorption, zeta potential, and ICP-MS measurements.
