This is a new update for NeverDead, and it’ll add a new map to the game. The map is a mansion that’s completely dark, with no light. Here’s what it looks like inside the map:
The mansion is huge! There’s one room that houses the door to another map.
You can talk to people in the mansion, and eventually, the game will end. It’s an endless game, and you can go infinite lives here. But there’s a problem: You don’t know which direction to go in. I’m not very good at this game, so I can only make it to the edge of the map.
The only light source is a torch in the map’s center, and it can be used to open a door to the outside world.

Roughnecks (aka Rookies or Freelance Camp-Fighters) are the common men of the galaxy. Trapped in a quasi-feudal system confined to the planet-side range of space, survivors of the first wave of conquest and colonization are forced into the role of low-ranking blockheads who, for the sake of security, must be kept cowed. Women are property and must tend to the needs of their owners in both day and night. Even those who can hope for escape have little chance to get themselves past the ranks of armed guards who patrol the frontier, or the other men who protect their owners and their families.
The Roughnecks of Deep Rock Galactic have a very different situation than the Roughnecks of fantasy. Here the aliens have, in many cases, been basically conservative: by keeping the working class enslaved in the low-security blocklands and bare-knuckle industrial empire, the oligarchy underclass basically stays put for the most part, and there has been a relatively stable status quo. With this combination of limits on vision and a “slavish” citizenry, the aliens have largely succeeded in numbing cultural progress into “they’ll have to take it” mentality. Most of the species in Deep Rock Galactic are dubious about the human nature based on an educated guess: if they’re not overtly dangerous, they’re not overtly compelling in effect. The population is shaped by the worst. Contrast this to the more educated and educated population of Earth, where technology has the potential to change everything.
