How can I share an object between two tests?

I am trying to unit test a method which creates an object and then saves the object to a database. The method is very simple and looks like this:
var db = new SqlServerDataContext();

var d = CreateTable(_schema, _dbName);
db.InsertOnSubmit(d);
db.SubmitChanges();

The CreateTable method creates an object that can be used by multiple tests. I am currently doing this by adding a reference in the test project to the class with the test fixture and then adding a constructor with the same parameters for the test fixture:
public TestModelFixture()
{
_dbName = string.Empty;
_schema = string.Empty;
}

Is there a better way to get around this problem?

Are you using a mocking framework like Moq? If so, then you can setup mock database context and insert on the mock context instead of the database context. You will have to create a mock context in your test project for it to work:
var db = new Mock();
