the miami-dade county public schools diversity, equity and inclusion committee along with the miami-dade schools foundation invite you to the inaugural miami-dade immigrant and refugee student summit, an event designed to empower and educate immigrant and refugee youth to achieve academic success and lifelong success in the face of numerous challenges including acculturation and limited english proficiency. the event will take place at school board headquarters at miami-dade county public schools on saturday, september 22nd, 2017 at 9:00am. children of immigrants and refugees at miami-dade county public schools is a community-based organization dedicated to the educational success of children and youth of diverse cultures and backgrounds who are growing up in miami-dade county public schools.
