Livecut is designed for fast and efficient beat slicing. It is based on the BBCut the BreakBeat Cutting library written by Nick Collins for SuperCollider.
Livecut allows you to edit the cut audio by adding notes (n) and adjusting the volume fader (v). Two parameters are used to control the length of each cut: the amount of time (t) for the beat to play and the number of repetitions (n) after the end of the first time the beat repeats.
For example, if the length of the cut is 15 seconds, it would mean the length of the beat would be (15*n) seconds. Since we are dealing with a 4/4 and beats of different lengths, we have to adjust the value of n accordingly.
Livecut is probably best used when cut are organized in phrases: you start with a phrase, then use Ln+1 to copy the phrase on n-th repetition (you can stop anywhere on the final copy) and eventually stop with Ln+n.
The results are not 100% perfect (ie. if you change the end position of the cut, the new length of the cut will differ from the original length). But a simple cheat can allow to correct the length of the cut:

Open the Editor, create a new cut
Set cut length: 1sec
Set the starting time: the first time the beat repeats
Set the end time: the last time the beat repeats
Take note of the current play position on the timeline (1-13)

Create a new cut, set length the same as the first one, but set the play position to the current value.

In the result you should have 1sec cut.
If you want to have longer cuts, you will need to add a note when you reach the end of the cut.
