Equipped with the right applications, a computer can be of great help in virtually any domain of activity. When it comes to designing and precision, no other tool is as accurate as a computer. Moreover, specialized applications such as AutoCAD give you the possibility to design nearly anything ranging from art, to complex mechanical parts or even buildings.
Suitable for business environments and experienced users
After a decent amount of time spent installing the application on your system, you are ready to fire it up. Thanks to the office suite like interface, all of its features are cleverly organized in categories. At a first look, it looks easy enough to use, but the abundance of features it comes equipped with leaves room for second thoughts.
Create 2D and 3D objects
You can make use of basic geometrical shapes to define your objects, as well as draw custom ones. Needless to say that you can take advantage of a multitude of tools that aim to enhance precision. A grid can be enabled so that you can easily snap elements, as well as adding anchor points to fully customize shapes.
With a little imagination and patience on your behalf, nearly anything can be achieved. Available tools allow you to create 3D objects from scratch and have them fully enhanced with high-quality textures. A powerful navigation pane is put at your disposal so that you can carefully position the camera to get a clearer view of the area of interest.
Various export possibilities
Similar to a modern web browser, each project is displayed in its own tab. This comes in handy, especially for comparison views. Moreover, layouts and layers also play important roles, as it makes objects handling a little easier.
Sine the application is not the easiest to carry around, requiring a slightly sophisticated machine to properly run, there are several export options put at your disposal so that the projects itself can be moved around.
Aside from the application specific format, you can save as an image file of multiple types, PDF, FBX and a few more. Additionally, it can be sent via email, directly printed out on a sheet of paper, or even sent to a 3D printing service, if available.
To end with
All in all, AutoCAD remains one of the top applications used by professionals to achieve great precision with projects of nearly any type. It encourages usage with incredible offers for student licenses so you get acquainted with its abundance of features early on. A lot can be said about what it can and can't do, but the true surprise lies in discovering it step-by-step.

History
Autodesk first released AutoCAD in 1982. The first version was a 32K application for the 8-bit microcomputers of the time. To distinguish AutoCAD from the many other AutoCAD clones, the original application was named M-A-D (M-A-D) for Micro-AutoCAD. The original AutoCAD was able to handle graphical objects created with the graphic primitive of a line.
The original version of AutoCAD supported only the Ventura graphics adapter. To render a line, the graphics hardware used the graphics primitive known as a dot. The line was drawn using two dots. The position of the first dot was specified by its X and Y coordinates. The position of the second dot was determined by calculating the length of the line and determining the location of the line’s end. The second dot’s position was calculated by dividing the length of the line by the X and Y coordinates of the first dot.
AutoCAD 1.1 was the first major release of AutoCAD. It introduced the ability to draw objects with the graphic primitive of a polyline, which represented a curve. The point on the curve where it was not specified was automatically specified. AutoCAD was one of the first CAD programs to support AutoShape and AutoLISP. AutoLISP was a programming language for AutoCAD that used the graphic primitive of a polyline. AutoLISP was also used in AutoCAD for creating macros.
AutoCAD’s graphic object graphic primitive allowed for objects of any size, but AutoCAD only supported objects that were defined in terms of polygons. To represent objects with arbitrary geometries, an AutoCAD user would need to model a model in a specific 3D modeling tool such as AutoCAD LT. CAD-like operations could then be applied to that model in AutoCAD.
AutoCAD 2.0 was released in March 1987, and it introduced many of the now-common features of modern CAD applications. The release was named the Hall of Fame Edition. The graphics primitive used to draw graphics became an editable polyline. Unlike its predecessor, AutoCAD 2.0 was able to handle polylines with any number of control points.
In AutoCAD 3.0, which was released in April 1990, splines were added. AutoCAD

Line or vector
Edges and vertices are both lines and 3D vectors. There are three main types of lines:
Drawing lines are objects that do not change when you zoom in or out of the drawing, or when you move the viewpoint.
Drawing grids are objects that are always visible, whether the viewpoint is far or close, and they are used to organize and view the drawing at different scales.
Graph lines are used to make graphics objects (such as bars, arrows, and boxes).
Edges are objects that can be either straight or curved. They represent the sides of a box, a circle, a plane, or an ellipse.
3D objects, also referred to as vectors, can be either line or polygonal (one or more polygons).
A 2D object (line or polygon) is often represented by a 2D polyline (a collection of lines connected by lines) or a 2D polygon (a collection of 3D lines). However, a 2D object can also be a 3D polyline or a 3D polygon.
Lines are also used to represent the datum and the elevation of a line of sight (LOS), and in CAD these are referred to as segment lines. Line segments are used for representing arcs, such as in roundabout.
Defining a drawing (objects)
A drawing is created from a template, which defines the template’s entities and properties, and the template itself. A template may consist of some or all of the following entities and properties:
Entities are the key objects in a drawing. They can be a line, a polyline, a circle, a sphere, a box, a polybox, or an ellipse.
Properties are the attributes and characteristics of a specific entity. Properties are used to set the attributes of a specific entity (a line, polyline, circle, or box).
Entities and properties are available in the drawing in a number of ways, including as freeform entities (that can be moved, scaled, or rotated) and as snap entities (that are locked to the axes and cannot be modified).
Other entities that are available in a template but are not part of the drawing can include surfaces, planes, images, markers, footings, part supports, and beams. A drawing also has one or more views (a tool that is not part of the drawing), which defines how the entities are seen from the drawing’s

There is a similar crack tool here:
You may have to go to this menu and search for your license key:
If that doesn’t work, you can try signing up for a new trial of Autocad.
Q:
Place names into vector as 1 per line in text file
I have a lot of place names as comma separated text in a text file.
How can I transform it to vector as 1 per line?
In this example I only have 10, but there can be as much as 50.
I was thinking to add space between names and then use it to read vector, but I’m not sure how to do it with sprintf or similar.
Pls note that they might be not all in alphabetical order (and there could be duplicates).
