Thanks to this trick, you can install a free Windows 8.1 version of IE 11 on your computer, which in turn makes the IE of your Windows 7 user account look like the one of Windows 8.1 (even though it’s very different).
Here’s what you have to do:
Download the latest IE 11 (86.86.162.101) executable and then install it.
If you’re logging with Windows 7, even though it’s still possible to boot into Windows 7 after that, you’re seeing the IE 11 icons that come with the latest Windows 8.1 version and the look of Windows 7.

Unfortunately, this trick won’t work on Windows 8 if you still want to use the Windows 8.1 IE. You should know, though, that while the IE of Windows 8.1 seems to be rather different from Windows 7’s IE, it’s not bad at all.
So if you want to install IE 11 on Windows 8.1 without issues, you can log in with your Windows 7 user account and easily do it. Otherwise, you’ll have to use your Windows 8.1 account (that’s the one that came with the IE 11 version you want to install).

To make sure that each application can load, add the files to their system or manually unzip the archive. The installation file for FRSPCShutdown is in the ZIP file, there is no installation in this particular case.
