i remember that i had a huge crush on bi in my sassy girl, he was the first character i had ever loved in korean drama. i remember going to a book store and bought a bunch of his books. i have seen all his dramas up to a love to kill, and i thought he was the best lead in all those dramas.
the only thing that kept me going was the fact that there were a lot of fanservice moments, particularly in the first half. the idea of an incredibly popular idol doing an incredibly ridiculous thing is always fun. the fanservice scenes in the drama were really funny, but they could have been more extensive. it was obvious that the drama was trying to appeal to female audiences, and i am a female, but the scenes just didnt work for me. for instance, there was the scene where ji eun went to the restroom and was told by the girls she was with that she should wear tighter clothes. i found it incredibly funny and it made me laugh. i felt i could not stop laughing for most of the episode, but it became so awkward and uncomfortable. then when ji eun got out of the restroom, and her friends laughed and pointed at her, it was not that funny anymore, and it became just awkward and uncomfortable. the fanservice was just not the right type of fanservice to be used as a selling point, especially when i had been laughing so hard. the scenes were too awkward and uncomfortable for me to enjoy, despite them being funny.
full house is an addictive trainwreck. the worst part of this is that i found myself unable to look away. even when i could predict what way the script would go, i was pressing continue to the next episode at the end of every single one. thats the charm of full house, it is an addictive trainwreck. song hye kyo and rain do have chemistry, so i can believe that their characters would be attracted to each other, but their relationship buildup does not have any payoff. by the last episode, when they finally get together, it doesnt feel earned because they havent even had a full episode of bliss in which they were not involved in the same cycle. i wonder if rain and song hye kyo realized the drama had them repeat the same dialogues, in the exact same places, almost word by word.
