I’ve been working on the Right to Fight II patch now for a month or more and I finally decided to add server merging with the Feb 1 release.

The server merging is done by a separate program, but requires you to use a specific file, which is what is generated during the game. Sometimes the generation doesn’t work properly.

As for my path, the entire game takes about 3 hours to add everything, and about 8 hours of testing, for what it’s worth. I pretty much completed my script, writes the verification file, and that’s just about it. The game’s engine doesn’t have a lot of optimizations as it’s been put together over the last 4 years and I have to make sure everything gets set and saved before I optimize the whole thing.[There was a video here]

I’ve been spending my time off in writing letters, something I neglected to mention earlier.

There’s a long-running Australian game played by teenagers. It’s “naming a town in Australia after someone you hate”. Given my aversion to all things Australian — hence “Snakes” and “Ocelots” — I haven’t figured out a way to torture my co-workers with toads or beetles.

The new page edit is always blank

I am doing some changes for the edit page of the User’s area. I added a new menu item called ‘edit user’ and I mapped it to the form action for user editing. For some strange reason this form is always blank:
” method=”POST” accept-charset=”utf-8″>

The routing for the template:

All the routing and @user.id is properly set.
In the site_helper.rb file I have this method for the cookie as well.
