GamesI’ve been playing around with a new program I just discovered called ScreenMagic. It’s a virtual keyboard that you can use on top of your screen. Once you’ve found it (there are instructions on the Github site), simply drag it to your top taskbar/screen.

It works like this:

Once you’ve dragged the program onto your screen, you can either use it as an on-screen keyboard and type as if it were on your computer keyboard, or, if you just want to run some code, you can do so by pressing your program’s key, which seems to be the following:

(U for Undo)

One of the features is that you can add up to ten shortcuts to your program. In my case, I just ran “yodac” for “yoda-c”, which is a Yoda wrapper for Ruby.

I found this program after watching the following video on how to extend the windows shell:

Where to go from here

This is the first time I’ve found an open source program that I actually really liked, and I think it’s going to be a great addition to my Windows 7 experience. I’ve spent some time playing with it the past few days, and it’s a great addition.

Today I gave a talk on using Ruby in Windows.

It was a fairly simple talk, introducing the basics of Ruby, and using Windows 7’s amazing Ruby Installer.

Mostly, the talk was spent explaining why and how I used Ruby on Windows. I spent a lot of time explaining the limitations, and it’s something I’ve been getting a lot of questions about, especially as the end of the year approaches.

I’d like to have covered more interesting and easy-to-do things, but I’m the type that doesn

Computer game terminology: Moogles
Around the 1980s, the word “moogle” was coined to describe the half-human, half-moo characters in role-playing games.
In the 1980s, a game called Moogles was created. The game featured two main characters: a scientist named ‘Doctor Moogle’, and a girl named ‘Moogle’. However, due to the misconception that the protagonist was female, the name ‘Moogle’ became the colloquial term for a small, shaggy and soft-looking humanoid.

Amazon’s Model 3 is a good car, but you’ll need to do some maintenance to make it last
The Microsoft 10-year anniversary edition of Microsoft Windows is now out, and it’s a pretty big deal: Along with the Windows 10 OS and its assortment of apps, Microsoft also unveiled its first custom automotive infotainment system, the Project Spartan. The system’s name, of course, pays homage to Microsoft’s last great operating system: Windows XP.
Project Spartan was made by Microsoft’s in-house technology group, the Vehicle Reference Group, or VRG, which means it doesn’t have a name yet. It’s a different approach, too: Instead of making a true infotainment system that connects the car to the Internet in some way, Microsoft used Windows 10’s in-car integration to make Project Spartan work like an app. VRG designed Project Spartan to look and behave more like an app on your Windows PC, too, using a new browser-like app interface, and building off Windows 10’s system, Cortana, instead of requiring a dedicated infotainment system that runs as an app.
But, how does Project Spartan work? Does it give you access to your car’s dashboard, or do you have to go through an Internet connection to use it? We didn’t get an in-depth demo of how it works, but VRG and the technology group’s general manager, David Wehner, showed off a few small changes in the Project Spartan software and
