What’s New in the The Devil 039;s Work?
The Devil’s Work is a handy application deisgned to automatically set the upload and download bandwidth used by eMule. eMule takes up virtually all of my bandwidth which is frustrating when you are trying to use the web at the same time.
Although you can manually adjust eMule’s throttling rate, it is irritating to have to remember to set it to low bandwidth when I want to use the PC, and then switch it back to unlimited bandwidth when I have finished using it.
Whenever your PC is idle for more than 1 minute, it will automatically set eMule to use unlimited bandwidth, then if you start using your PC again the program will tell eMule to restrict its bandwidth.
This program, The Devil’s Work, has only one setting: ‘Set the upload and download speed limit’.
You can also set the limit to zero by choosing ‘Unlimited’.

So here’s what you need to do:
1. Start up the application.
It will ask for your password and then display a license key. Just press ‘OK’ and you are done.
2. Set upload and download bandwidth limit.
There is a dropdown for that.
Set to unlimited, unlimited, unlimited, unlimited, unlimited, unlimited, unlimited.
Do that for all the bandwidth limits you want to have.
3. Start / Stop
Choose start or stop and you are done.

In this section there are two tabs. The first tab shows all your eMule connections, and the second tab shows your upload and download bandwidth for each eMule connection.
On the connection tab, there are two buttons.
One button links to the settings dialog shown below.
The other button closes the dialog and returns you to the connection tab.
In the bandwidth settings you can choose from ‘user’,’site’, ‘internet’, ‘all’ and ‘none’.
‘user’ applies to connections made to sites that support bandwidth controls,’site’ applies to connections made to sites that are not normally bandwidth controlled, ‘internet’ applies to all connections, ‘all’ means unlimited bandwidth, ‘none’ means bandwidth controls are off, ‘none’ means bandwidth controls are off, ‘user’ means eMule automatically changes to unlimited bandwidth when the PC is idle for more than one minute.
The second tab has all the bandwidth settings: ‘Bandwidth settings’ and ‘Limit bandwidth’
