apart from the fact that they are very old, we have seen many sanskrit manuscripts that are unreadable for various reasons. some of these have been published. for example, the ketavagga, the very extensive commentary on the sutra of nirvana by such authors as uchchheda, sunada, sampradaya and other authors, has been scanned and corrected, and then published in a digitally improved format.
the problems of very old, very fragile, ink-damaged manuscripts have been treated by printing the texts in the only way that can preserve it. we have done this for a few hundred manuscripts, and have made it available on our website. we are planning to do it for many more manuscripts in the future.

CHILDREN SURVIVING THE THIRD WORLD WAR were forced to learn a second language to fit in with a new world order. In an orgy of culture and commerce, the Chinese-born Henry Luce had successfully introduced a new world into Western perspective, making the ‘American century’ the first in the history of mankind.
Later, in the 1940s, he founded the Catholic Youth Organisation, an anti-Communist body aimed at countering the spread of communism in Catholic Europe. This organisation is today the World Association of Young Catholics (WAYC), with its headquarters in Paris and a branch in the USA.
Dr. Kevin Allen, the group’s National Director was on hand to address parents and children. He said: “The World Association of Young Catholics aims to encourage young Catholics in the fight against unbelief. We encourage each other to be witnesses of Christ in our own communities. We encourage men and women to become priests and religious.”
The talk was delivered in conjunction with the WayC’s Annual National Gathering in Geneva, Switzerland.
Held at the Institute of Youth in Geneva, Father John-Paul Topp was the guest speaker. Speaking for the World Association of Young Catholics, Father Topp said: “This is a time of great crisis in the Church. I think it’s a time of great opportunity. We were not allowed to grow up as children because of the Cold War. It was therefore very important that we found someone to talk to us about what’s going on in the world today. That
