this research attempts to examine the impact of international islamic stock market and macroeconomic variables towards jakarta islamic index (jii). by using vector error correction model (vecm) as the method, this research utilizes time series monthly data from january 2007 to october 2012. the finding shows that jii is positively significantly affected by djieu, djimy and ipi, and it is negatively significantly affected by djijp, imus, m2 and sbis.jii reaches its stability condition fastest when dealing with money supply shock. this study recommends: strengthening coordination between monetary authority and financial services authority, strengthening real sector of the economy, minimizing the influence of interest rate towards islamic financial market, and developing early warning system to anticipate financial crises.

in this study, the objective is to analyze the impact of macroeconomic variables on islamic stock market of indonesia (ismi) using vector error correction model (vecm). data used in this study is extracted from the indonesian islamic stock market index (ismi) in the period of january 2007 to october 2012. the results of this study show that ismi is positively significantly affected by intr, dfp, cfp, m2, pta and sbis, and negatively significantly affected by cpi, stdi, m3 and old. in addition, ismi reaches its stability condition fastest when dealing with money supply shock. the recommendation made by this study is that macroeconomic variables should be carefully monitored and followed-up by the mulak and mabas to make the mulak to be able to forecast ismi, and take action accordingly to reduce the macroeconomic variables that affects ismi.

In this study, the use of mass media to attract attention to and encourage the purchase of Islamic economic products is identified. According to the analysis, the increase in the number of Islamic economic product stories is closely linked to the growth of the Islamic economy. However, it is not easy for the Islamic economy to attract the attention of the media because of the low status of the Islamic economy and the lack of interest of the media in the Islamic economy. The findings of this study can facilitate the development of financial institutions and Islamic financial products and services in the future.
