In addition to her work as a communication coach with high-profile clients such as Kimberly-Clark, Hershey Foods and Abbott Laboratories, Lesie Worden is a columnist for the PR News site and an expert in public relations and social media. Sarah Riviere is Assistant Professor of Business Communication at the American University, Washington DC. She received a Ph.D in Organizational Communication from the University of Sherbrooke in Sherbrooke, Quebec and began her academic career at the Université de Montréal where she was promoted from Assistant Professor to Professor. She then became an Assistant Professor at the University of Washington in Seattle. From 2008 to present, she has been affiliated to the Department of Business Communication at American University, Washington, where she is currently a member of the Department of Communication Studies, and an Associate of the Center for International Business Communication. Dr. Riviere is co-editor of the book, Participation Decision Making and Organization Science: Theories, Methods and Applications (2013). She has been the recipient of teaching awards from the American University, the University of Washington, and the University of Montréal. Her research and publications have appeared in journals such as the Journal of Business Communication, the Organization Science, the Journal of Communication Management, Communication Research, the Journal of Public Relations Research, and the Organization Studies. She has also been awarded the Conference Board of Canada Silver Medal Award.
