So if you’re working in a place where something may happen to your computer, such as a tear-down or a power surge, you can lose your saved images.

Losing a file you didn’t need to save

In Photoshop a file can only be saved once. If you accidentally open and close a file that you didn’t want to save, the file is gone. There is no way to recover it. Of course, if you work with the file in Photoshop, it won’t be that much of a loss. However, if you’re working with images and they’re the only copy you have, you could be in a difficult situation.
